Joel B. Barrios

Joel started playing the ukulele at age 5. As a young boy, he had a vision of playing the guitar in front of so many people. In high school, he saved up to buy song books as a self-taught guitar player inspired by his musical family. After he got saved in college thru a musical event, he chose to put aside the guitar in favor of his new found passion -- reading and studying the word of God.  He only played it again when someone asked him to join the worship team in church. Few months after college when he was already working, he felt that he was called to be a missionary. At the age of 23 Joel started traveling to train musicians and raise worship teams in the different Victory provincial and eventually international family of churches.   Today, he is a full-time worship leader/pastor and trains worship teams/leaders both locally and internationally.  Occasionally, he leads worship in the body of Christ in the Philippines.  Joel’s passion is to lead people in worship and see people experience God’s power that brings healing, comfort and freedom.   Joel’s earlier songs include Shine Upon the Philippines, Family of God and Thank You Lord. Joel Barrios is married to Evie and they have 3 children (one of them went to be with the Lord in 2004). They are based in Manila.
